I’ve had the pleasure over the years of watching our three children learn how to ski at Snowbowl here in Missoula. Today, Seth, our youngest, and I managed to shirk yesterday’s record crowd and get in a peaceful Sunday sneak. Snowbowl is one of those places that truly is unique. Two slow and rickety double chairs get skiers into some of the finer non-stop vertical in to be found in the northwest. The hill once hosted the US National downhill. Over time I suppose I’ve come to realize people either love the place or avoid it. I believe the hill is in the process of exploring an expansion to accommodate intermediate level skiers. It will be interesting to see how this impacts the character of the place. I’m pretty certain that the experiences we’ve had over the years will be looked upon fondly by our children in the future. Great hill.
