Erin and I spent Friday afternoon getting some much needed fresh fall air hiking below the north side of Lolo hoping to spook a whitetail during the special youth two day early opener. She brought along a thermos of coffee and a few Hersey bars to sneak in during breaks. The fall colors are starting to turn with the larch and firs beaming yellow through the green canopy. I took a few photos from the phone along the route. No sign of game in the area, but we did not press it too hard, sticking to the lower sections and generally enjoying the outing. This is an excellent time to mountain bike the Rattlesnake Corridor to take photos near the upper falls, as below taken during year’s past (my old journal’s lower header).
