We made it once more to the Green Bluff area north of Spokane last weekend. We’ve done this each year for as long as the children have been around. This year we went earlier than usual for some reason. It still being September, we held off on the pumpkins. It felt much less commercialized as the early season meant the non-agricultural vendors were not yet set up. The apples were crisp and excellent. We picked them in the rain in the company of a large Newfoundland. It rained for most of last weekend. The moisture was (is) much needed and no one complained. It cooled the air and brought about the realization that fall is here.
