Could not talk the rascals into hitting the river today (hopefully somewhere tomorrow). So, that freed up a little time to ride up to a favorite local peak on the cross bike, Jake. Miller Peak is a spot where there are abundant wildflowers and usually there is some game about as well. Often there are wild turkeys along the valley floor prior to the ascent. Today, I only got a whiff of elk on the descent, seeing none. Molly and I, when we first arrived in Missoula, used to spend time in this area pursuing upland birds. It was a warm, sunny day today, which made the ride quite nice. There were a few other folks in the Hollowman Saddle area enjoying some outdoor recreation. It’s nice to see everything so green from the heavy recent rains. A gift.
